The August XL is designed with long-term flexibility in mind, making it highly adaptable to the changing needs of its owners. The back exit door is strategically placed for future expansion. This makes it easy to extend the home's footprint by adding a sleepout or another tiny home to the setup, providing a seamless way to grow your living space without compromising the original design. The second loft is an incredibly versatile space that you can use for anything from extra storage to a home office or a sleeping area. This loft remains useful and adaptable no matter how you choose to use it. Using low maintenance materials for example the exterior cladding (steel and timber) is designed for durability and minimal upkeep, resisting rot and weather damage. The home is compact, measuring 8 meters long, 2.6 meters wide, and 4.2 meters high (including the trailer) with a total floor surface of 29 m2. With this size, combined with its high level of insulation & double-glazed windows and doors, ensures that heating and cooling costs are kept to a minimum. This also means a smaller carbon footprint.

The interior is lined with Okoume plywood walls which creates a light and natural atmosphere. This provides a striking contrast, beautifully offsetting the intensity of the black accents throughout the home. The spacious kitchen, is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, from the pull-out pantry, stainless steel fridge-freezer and full-sized oven and hobs to the range hood and bifold window. A custom Macrocarpa pull-out table for casual dining or meal prep & a washing machine for convenience. The custom double-axle galvanized trailer features electric brakes and a removable drawbar. The removable drawbar is a great feature as when the tiny home is parked, the drawbar can be detached and stored under the home, making it look more like a permanent residence and less like a trailer. The bathroom is a space-saving design, allowing for a larger, more comfortable lounge area. The home features two loft bedrooms. The main loft is accessed via a dedicated staircase which also doubles as storage, while the second loft is accessed via a ladder. This layout provides privacy and separation. The August XL base floor plan is a great starting point, but we make all our tiny homes to order, allowing for a large degree of customisation.
