Future Proofing
>
This home was designed with a young family in mind, specifically one with a single child. We included a loft with a walkway so that as the child grows, they can comfortably walk upright and stand beside their wardrobe to get dressed. At the end of the loft, the snug area serves as a cosy play space in the early years and can easily transition into a teenager’s hangout zone, complete with a plug for a TV if desired.
Looking ahead, the design also allows for simple, cost-effective expansion. When finances permit, the long window on the external wall between the main bedroom and living room can be replaced with a door. This creates the option of adding a pod and covered porch, perfect as an extra bedroom or a home office. The back door has also been positioned with modular extension in mind, providing even more flexibility if additional space is needed in the future.
For durability and ease of maintenance, the house has been clad in beautiful cedar that has already received two coats of tinted oil, reducing the frequency of re-oiling required. The rear of the home is finished in low-maintenance Coloursteel, ensuring both practicality and lasting style.
Liveability
>
The living area has been designed with everyday comfort in mind, offering a semi open-plan layout that feels both spacious and inviting. The lounge easily accommodates a large sofa and a good-sized TV, making it the perfect spot to relax. A breakfast bar, built into the kitchen benchtop, doubles as a dining area, while the cooking space is neatly tucked behind a partial wall for a clean, uncluttered look. With a full-height pantry and generous room for a large fridge, this kitchen is more practical and liveable than many found in standard homes.
The main bedroom is located at the opposite end of the house, providing a peaceful retreat. A full wall of wardrobes and drawers offers ample storage, easily set up as a “his and hers” arrangement. French doors enhance the sense of space and create the option of opening directly onto a deck or covered porch in the future.
Each bedroom is fitted with doors to ensure privacy and provide everyone with their own quiet space. The bathroom has been thoughtfully positioned at the centre of the home, easily accessible from all bedrooms—including the future pod extension.
Workmanship

Our base flashings are carefully designed and fitted by experts, optimising the release of any condensation while also acting as effective vermin-proofing. Flashings are often overlooked, yet they are one of the most important parts of a professional build — here they have been executed with precision to ensure both performance and a seamless finish.
All external plumbing protrusions are boxed in and finished with powder-coated flanges, designed to be as discreet as possible while maintaining durability.
When it comes to timber cladding, the workmanship truly becomes an art form. Each board is placed and finished with care, resulting in clean lines and a flawless finish that elevates the overall aesthetic.
Inside the home, the flooring, electrical layout, tiling, and shower glass have all been installed by skilled professionals, meeting the highest industry standards.
The cabinetry is custom-built by a master craftsman, tailored to suit the unique needs of each client. Subtle yet clever details — such as the staircase drawers with soft-close runners — showcase the thought and pride poured into every element. Visitors often don’t notice these hidden features at first glance, but they make daily living both easier and more enjoyable.
Every fixture and fitting, from the tapware and handles to the smallest detail, is carefully chosen and meticulously installed. The result is a home where quality workmanship is not just seen, but felt in everyday use.
Functionality/Innovation Design
>
One of the standout features is the head-height walkway in the loft, cleverly utilising the dormer window space. Unlike many tiny homes, this allows the occupant to walk upright beside the wardrobe, making everyday living far more practical. The additional space under the gable pitch makes the loft bedroom feel significantly more open and spacious, while the adjoining snug area keeps the main sleeping space tidy. This nook is perfect as a play area for a child and can later evolve into a cosy teenage retreat.
The spacious open-plan living area is another highlight, designed to feel grand and uncluttered. Full cathedral ceilings make the most of the gable height, creating an impressive sense of scale rarely experienced in a tiny home. Meanwhile, the kitchen’s utility areas are cleverly tucked behind a partial wall — a unique approach that keeps the living zone looking streamlined while maintaining full functionality.
In the kitchen itself, extensive storage cupboards have been built to accommodate all the appliances one would expect in a standard home — from dishwasher to coffee machine. This ensures that those who love cooking and entertaining never feel they are compromising by choosing a tiny home on wheels.
Together, these thoughtful design elements ensure the home flows beautifully, blending clever innovations with practical solutions that make day-to-day living both effortless and enjoyable.
Aesthetic Appeal & Special Features
>
This home makes a striking first impression with its gable roofline and prominent off-centre dormer, a design choice that is highly unusual for a tiny house on wheels. The result is a visually dynamic profile that sets it apart from more conventional tiny home designs.
The combination of natural timber cladding with dark Ironsand Coloursteel and matching joinery creates a bold yet sophisticated contrast. This mix of warm, organic tones and sleek modern finishes strikes the perfect balance between contemporary style and timeless appeal.
Generous large windows flood the home with natural light and enhance its aesthetic charm, while also creating a seamless connection between the interior and the outdoors.
Inside, the cathedral ceilings and carefully positioned dormer create a sense of openness and height rarely experienced in a tiny home. French doors extend the living space and add to the airy, light-filled atmosphere, while the warmth of timber detailing ties the interior design back to the natural beauty of the exterior.
Together, the distinctive roofline, striking material palette, and light, spacious interior give this build a unique wow factor that is both beautiful and memorable.
